Our History

Welcome to Bridelawyer.com, founded in May 2024 as a division of The Rivkind Law Firm,  by mother-daughter attorneys Shari Rivkind and Morgan Weil, licensed New Jersey and New York attorneys. We are proud to offer a pioneering legal resource tailored specifically for brides navigating the exciting—but often complex—journey of wedding planning and beyond.

Motivated by her recent engagement and the confusion her friends faced while planning their weddings, Morgan recognized the need for specialized legal guidance and came up with the idea of a dedicated practice division. The firm combines Shari Rivkind's wisdom and legal experience of 37 years with Morgan Weil's actual experience of being a bride in today's world, a combination that makes them ideally suited to serve today's brides.

Bridelawyer.com empowers brides by providing services that protect their interests, such as crafting prenuptial agreements, reviewing vendor contracts, and drafting wills. "We give brides the insights they need to feel at ease during this exciting time of their lives," Morgan explains.

The team attends bridal shows, offers free guides and The Bridelawyer Brief , their blog, and shares practical tips through YouTube and social media. We provide personalized, practical guidance for this pivotal stage of their lives.” In fact, due to high demand, the firm has recently introduced Groomlawyer.com, because grooms need legal attention too!
